“CHIME has made a real difference in how our clinic runs day to day … giving patients, as well as our staff, better visibility into appointments & wait times.”
— Reena Ahluwalia Reilly, Manager of Integrated Care Operations
About the Outpatient Clinical Program at Toronto Grace
The Outpatient Clinical Program at The Salvation Army Toronto Grace Health Centre serves as a centralized hub for specialized medical care and diagnostics. Located for easy access on the building’s main floor, our program hosts a diverse range of specialty clinics designed to meet the specific needs of ambulatory patients. From advanced diagnostic imaging to specialist consultations, we provide a streamlined environment where community members can access multiple health services in one efficient location. Our focus is on bridging the gap between hospital expertise and community-based care.
Results & Highlights
We were interested in CHIME because we wanted a more effective use of space, better efficiency for our providers and patients, and a clear way to direct traffic and help people navigate our main-floor clinic space. After implementing CHIME, we’ve seen smoother provider-patient interactions, better flow throughout the day for clinicians, and a more self-serve patient experience.
More Efficient Clinic Flow for Our Clinicians
CHIME makes provider–patient interactions more efficient for us
Our clinicians can work from their own spaces and have patients come to them, which supports better flow throughout the day
Clearer Navigation for Our Patients & Staff
Our staff like that CHIME creates a clear way for patients to navigate our space
Our patients seem to appreciate the visibility of appointments and wait times, along with an easy check-in process
Our Biggest Challenge was…
Our biggest challenge adopting CHIME has been that our physical space and entrance are small, which makes it harder to ensure the kiosks are visible. Some of our geriatric population also prefers checking in with a person, but they’re slowly finding the kiosks beneficial because they can check in quickly and take a seat.
