Medical Clinic

We are a family medical clinic located in the municipality of West St. Paul, Manitoba. We pride ourselves in our compassionate approach to chronic disease management. Our healthcare professionals deliver quality, comprehensive and personalised healthcare to people of varying ages. Our services include care of the elderly, chronic disease management, childhood immunisations, sexual health, travel medicine, cancer screening services and minor office procedures like joint injections, cryotherapies, wart removals, ear irrigation, etc. Our team includes Family Physicians, an in-house pharmacy, a Social Worker, and an Athletic Therapist, all well supported by a robust administrative team. We are also a teaching site for the University of Manitoba Medical Students.

Results & Highlights

We adopted CHIME because we wanted to improve the patient experience from the moment a patient enters our reception all the way to when they get roomed. In practice, CHIME has helped us run a calmer, more organized clinic day-to-day: the waiting area stays manageable, patient flow is clearer for staff and clinicians, and patients feel more informed about what’s happening during their visit.

  • Even on busy days, our reception space is rarely crowded because CHIME automatically assigns patients into exam rooms

  • Patients seem to appreciate being able to see their estimated wait time, which helps set expectations and reduces uncertainty

Less Admin Burden for Staff

  • CHIME has reduced the amount of manual administrative work our team would otherwise need to do, freeing up time and space for other responsibilities

  • If we had to estimate it, CHIME has automated the equivalent of about 40-50% FTE of work that our staff would have had to do manually

Our Biggest Challenge was…

The biggest challenge for us has been adoption among some of our older patients who rarely use the self check-in kiosk, and who sometimes need extra support getting comfortable with the new process.
