As of early 2025, many of the Samsung Galaxy Tablets used by CHIME have a new "Battery Protection” feature. This feature limits charging to 80 - 85% to extend battery lifespan. Unfortunately, the setting's location varies slightly depending on the Android version and One UI version.

Step 1 - Access the Tablet Settings

1. Tap on the tablet quickly 4 times

2. Use the password provided to you by your Account Manager

3. You’ll then be in the “kiosk” application settings page

4. At the top right, there will be a small gear icon…. Tap it

5. You should now be in the tablet settings page

Step 2 for Android 12+

1. Scroll down and tap Battery and device care.

2. Tap Battery.

3. Tap More battery settings.

4. Find Protect battery and toggle it ON.

5. If there’s an option to do so, ensure it is set to “maximum” protection

Step 2 for Android 11

1. Scroll down and tap device care.

2. Tap battery.

3. Tap more battery settings.

4. Find Protect battery and toggle it ON.
