Signage for CHIME Check-in Kiosks

CHIME’s Check-in Kiosk now comes with the option of physical signage to improve the kiosk’s visibility and help patients understand where to go to check in.

Signage for CHIME Check-in Kiosks

CHIME’s Check-in Kiosk is designed to help patients self check in and receive the right instructions on arrival. Good signage can improve kiosk visibility, reduce confusion, and help more patients use the kiosk as the first step in your clinic’s arrival flow. In our experience, the best signage is simple, visible, and positioned so that patients see it before they start asking staff where to go. This page outlines the signage options available to clients using the CHIME Check-in Kiosk

Which Kiosk Stand Do You Have?

We’ve deployed different kiosk stands over time. Your signage options depend on which kiosk stand your clinic has.

1) Armodilo Kiosk Stand

This is the newest stand for the CHIME Check-in Kiosk and it also has the best signage option. For this stand we offer a rear banner (see images above) that mounts behind the kiosk. This add-on is especially helpful in busy lobbies, new clinic rollouts, and any environment where patients may not naturally gravitate to the kiosk right away. The rear banner sits directly behind the kiosk and is intended to:

  • Draw attention to the kiosk even when patients are standing in front of it

  • Prompt patients to self check in (reducing “where do I go?” questions)

  • Reinforce the first step in your clinic’s arrival flow (check in at the kiosk)

What’s Included?

A printed vinyl banner designed to draw patients’ attention without being too loud

A rear banner frame & stand that mounts to the kiosk base and holds the vinyl banner

2) Maclocks Kiosk Stand

This is an older version of the stand for the CHIME Check-in Kiosk. We do have a signage option for this version, but it is not as strong as the rear banner described above. The only “turnkey” signage option for this stand that we offer is a sticker that requires the stand to be disassembled for installation. It is also less effective because the sign can be blocked when someone is standing in front of the kiosk.

In short — signage is available; installation is more awkward; visibility is more limited; the result is functional, but suboptimal.

If your clinic is using a Maclocks stand, contact us and we can help you decide whether it makes more sense to add signage or discuss a hardware upgrade.

3) Vidabox Kiosk Stand

This is the oldest version of the CHIME kiosk stand. At this time, we do not offer signage for this version. If your clinic is still using a Vidabox stand, we recommend contacting us to discuss upgrading the kiosk hardware rather than trying to add signage to this model.

What About Custom Signage?

One of our clients added a custom, clean and integrated signage solution to their kiosk enclosure. It’s a great option if you want something highly branded and “built-in” looking as opposed to the “turnkey” solutions described above. If this is something that you’re interested in, reach out to our customer success team by following the steps below.
