Setting up API Integration with Telus PS Suite
As we’ve mentioned previously, CHIME has advanced integration with several EMRs. Here are the steps required to set up CHIME with Telus’ PS Suite.
Step 1 — Fill out the Connection Request Form
Your CHIME account manager will send you a Connection Request Form. It sets out exactly what data CHIME will use to sync appointments from your PS Suite, and should be completed by a duly authorized representative of the clinic.
If you have not received the form, please contact your CHIME account manager.
IMPORTANT: Do not begin Steps 2 and 3 until you have the go-ahead from your CHIME account manager.
Step 2 — Accept the Terms and Conditions in PS Suite
To accept the terms and conditions in PS Suite:
From the main toolbar in PS Suite, click Settings > Preferences > Mobile. This will open the Device Administration Console.
On the Terms and Conditions tab, review and accept the clinic terms and conditions.
If your clinic has accepted these terms previously, the acceptance date will appear in the window. No further action is needed
Step 3 — Authorize the CHIME Extension Application
This is the final step. Complete it only after your CHIME account manager has given you the go-ahead. In PS Suite:
Open the Extension Application Configuration (TELUS instructions).
Locate CHIME in the list of extension applications and enable it (TELUS instructions).
Click Save. CHIME will now appear as a configured extension.
Once you have completed all three steps, please notify your CHIME account manager so we can verify the connection on our end.
Note on Dedicated Users
Earlier versions of PS Suite required clinics to create a dedicated CHIME user and associate it with the extension application. TELUS has since removed this requirement, and there is no longer a field to select a user during configuration. If you previously created a CHM user for this purpose, you may leave it in place or remove it. It is no longer needed.
