Questions / Fees

How do the fees work?

One-Time Fees:

  • They generally cover hardware, installation, training, custom development, and initial configuration. This might vary slightly from client to client.

  • These fees are designed to be roughly at “cost”

Ongoing Hardware Maintenance Fees

These fees cover all of the hardware related services that we perform.

Ongoing Software and Support Fees

All of the normal stuff “post launch”, e.g:

  • Licenses for software usage.

  • Ongoing ordinary support

  • Ongoing training.

  • Ongoing custom development.

  • Ongoing consulting work.

We describe this work in more detail as “Fast Iteration” and “Steady State Support”

Will there be pricing changes during Steady State?

Generally speaking, no. We know clients don’t want to constantly need to be thinking about the cost of changes and requests and features. Instead, we estimate using our experience and our work with other similar clients how much work it’s going to take to support you, we offer a price on that basis, and then we stand by that price during the term of your contract.

Never say no though. There might be situations where there’s a request that entails significantly more work than we can reasonably undertake at no extra cost. This is particularly the case if you’re asking for a large amount of custom development that we haven’t budgeted for. In that situation we would flag the issue, and would provide you a quote before proceeding. Historically, the only examples of this have been custom integration work specific to a particular client.
