Why wasn’t my patient auto-roomed?

If you are unsure why your patient is not being auto-roomed, you can view the reason by either (1) hovering over the patient (top images) or (2) by clicking on the patient (bottom image).

Some of the reasons why patients may not be auto-roomed include:

  • Patient arrived really early to appointment

  • MD is running really behind and patient would need to wait in the room for too long (“too long” set specifically for each clinic)

  • No rooms available / rooms need cleaning

  • MD is not working / seeing patients on-site

  • There are too many patients ahead of this patient in the queue to be seen

  • Previous patients in the clinician’s queue had not checked in yet

Many of these settings are configurable. Speak to your account manager with a specific example if you would like to explore adjustments.

It is also possible to see the reason “in the past”, even after a patient has been manually roomed.
