Rooms for Specific Clinician(s) Only

In some situations, you may want to have rooms assigned to specific physicians that explicitly prevent the patients of other physicians from being roomed there. This is useful in situations where a physician might have a “home” room.

1. In the default flow view, left click on the room you would like to assign.

2. Choose the physician’s name from the dropdown, then check off “Only above clinicians can use this room.”

3. Save Details.

4. Now, only that clinician’s patients can be assigned to this room.

There are some nuances to keep in mind.

This room remain locked to that physician’s patients even if the physician is not presently in the clinic and seeing patients. If you would like to “unlock” the room for other physicians, it’s important to ensure that you uncheck the box again as needed.

This rooming preference will also not affect appointments that are already checked in at the time that it has been set.
