How to Use an Amazon Fire TV Stick to Display CHIME
For Waiting Room Screens, we typically recommend the use of Yodeck players to provide content to the screen. These players are high quality and offer a high level of reliability in our experience. These players can be ordered through your Account Manager at roughly cost.
There are other situations where it is desired to configure a TV to show, for example, the CHIME dashboard. It is also an option to use a Yodeck player, but this requires a monthly fee. As part of this fee, CHIME will take responsibility for both the hardware and also the management of the Yodeck player, including its reliable operation and configuration.
An alternative is to use alternative devices, such as an ordinary computer, a custom Raspberry Pi, or other devices. In such situations, CHIME is not responsible for the hardware or the management of the device; clients need to take responsibility for managing the hardware themselves. No monthly fee is required though.
This document outlines, at a high level, a way to use an Amazon Fire TV Stick to display CHIME. The instructions are not intended to be exhaustive - you will likely need to troubleshoot and investigate the details yourself.
