Quick Start Guide

  1. Log in to CHIME on any device. Refer to your documentation for your login information and CHIME url.

  2. CHIME will automatically set your status for you at the beginning of the day based on your patient queue. You will either be AVAILABLE ONSITE or AVAILABLE OFFSITE. If you are UNAVAILABLE, please make sure to choose onsite or offsite status so that your patients are able to check in.

  3. Double tap or double click on your name in the list. This will take you to your personal view and hide most other physicians and their patients.

  4. You do not need to check your patients in. Patients receive a total of three reminders to check-in virtually for their appointment.

    • Admin will add a note to the appointment if they aren’t able to reach the patient. Whether you attempt to contact the patient at this point or not is up to you.

    • Your virtual patients will show up in your queue just like your in-person patients. Video appointments will be marked with V: [reason] and phone appointments will be P: [reason]

  5. In most cases, your virtual patients will not be auto-roomed. If you would like to see a virtual patient immediately, drag and drop the patient from the virtual waiting room to the room you would like to use. If you have no preference, just advance the patient and CHIME will find a room for you.

  6. When you’re done seeing the patient advance them out of the room or, if you’re leaving the room, complete your appointment by tapping the room tablet on the way out.

Helpful Tips!

  • If you are in-clinic and your next patient (virtual or in-person) has not yet been roomed, you have the option of getting CHIME to room your patient immediately as you leave the room. When you check out on the room tablet, swipe the name of the next patient in your queue. This will advance them into a room and tell you which room the patient has been assigned to.

  • If you’re on a phone or tablet, you can also press and hold on the name of your virtual room. This will take you to a view similar to the room tablet for ease of tapping through your list of virtual patients if you prefer.
